Commitment to assist students worldwide in receiving quality education by providing complete cultural immersion and an enriching and valuable experience far beyond conventional education to international students, ISR Canada is pleased to offer a School to School Exchange Program.
School-to-School exchanges are:
* An opportunity for students to visit other countries.
* An opportunity for the students involved to be immersed in another culture by living in one another’s homes.
* An opportunity to experience going to school in another language and educational system.
* An opportunity to share ideas and gain new perspectives.
* A chance to grow academically.
* More than a typical holiday abroad. They are an in-depth experience of another culture.*
Number of students / Chaperons:
* The recommended minimum group size is ten students; recommended maximum group size twenty
* Typically groups will have both, a male and a female chaperone.
Host families are carefully selected and expected to:
* Provide food for three meals per day.
* Provide private sleeping quarters for the host student, ideally a separate bedroom.
* Provide access to laundry facilities.
* Treat the host student as part of the family. Adequate supervision and monitoring of student must be provided.
* Whenever possible, provide transportation to the school or other local sites to facilitate their participation in exchange activities.
Services provided and Program cost: School-to-school exchanges are not seen as a source of profits for the host schools. There is no tuition for this program and host families are not paid. However, a small stipend must be paid to cover the cost of mandatory health insurance, extra-curricular activities, bussing and administration. The stipend to be paid does not include: airfare, travel visas (if applicable), spending money, or other items not mentioned above.
